Would it be possible to have a favourites linking system, where you can quickly navigate from one group to the other. For example, I like Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Biology, but rarely if ever visit other groups. It would be handy to to be able to have a dropdown menu (say from your username or beside the Home link on the top right), to enable smoother travelling between groups.

Just a toolbar one the top or left or something with the group icons would be ideal.

It would be great if you could also implement option of creating or approving syllabus specific groups. I would like create 3 groups for stanford's distributed education classes ai-class, ml-class and db-class.org
