need to figure out how to solve equation with three variables
You need three equs
how do u set it up?
the setup depends on the question being asked
example like 2x - 6y - 3z = 12 how do i break it down to find x y z?
thats an equation for a surface
there are no single x,y, or z values; that I can determine
You can define three different planes in which they interact on by making one of the variables a constant, say 0, and drawing the line for the plane
It would have to be a system on linear equations
*of
nadeem is a name i aint seen in a long time :)
the whole question says Find the x-, y, and z-intercepts for the equation. Enter your answers separated by commas; example: -2, 3, 4. 2x - 6y - 3z = 12
hahaha... its good to be back
That's a different question then : You just set the other two variables to "0" and solve for whatever yoo're looking for. If you need to look for y-intercept, set x and z to 0
k ty
if i set x and z to 0 that only leaves 6y?
I dont no if I did it write i got x=4
2x - 6y - 3z = 12 ; /12 2x 6y 3z --- - ---- - ---- = 1 12 12 12 x y z --- - --- - --- = 1 ; x(6,0,0) y(0,-2,0) z(0,0,-4) 6 2 4 something like this id assume
k thanks
