After installing ubuntu 11.4 along with my windows 7 i found that my default boot loader is that of ubuntu. How can i change it to windows 7?

install ubuntu using wubi ........

Ubuntu recognizes windows....but windows don't recognize Ubuntu.....so if you have installed Ubuntu side by side of windows, the boot loader must be controlled by Ubuntu if you have to use both operating systems.(if Ubuntu is installed inside windows using Wubi , windows recognize Ubuntu as a program and it can be assessed, but for full Ubuntu performance it need to be installed in a Linux partition) What you can do now is change the boot order for windows and Ubuntu in Grub. This can be done by adding a small software package in Ubuntu(called Start-up manager) .It is available in Synaptic package manger of Ubuntu......Install it and assess the program from Ubuntu menu (applications/settings).....change the boot order and set it to boot windows as default. Next time when Grub loads ......system will boot into windows.....rather than Ubuntu .

didnt knew about that package, i allways did it the hard way. U can edit a file in /boot named grub.conf or something like that where its the configuration file of the boot screen. GL.
