"Working together, it takes two different sized hoses 30 minutes to fill a small swimming pool. If it takes 50 minutes for the larger hose to fill the swimming pool by itself, how long will it take the smaller hose to fill the pool on its own?" I just need to know how to put this into an equation? I can solve from there

suppose it takes the smaller hose to fill the tank in x minutes. so in 1 minute it fills up 1/x th of the tank the larger hose fills it in 50 minutes so in one minute it fills 1/50th of the tank both together fill the tank in 30 minutes. so, in one minutes, together they fill 1/30th of the tank. so 1/x+1/50 = 1/30
