I just installed the MRIC and I got something like this

Alright buddy.. so once you have it installed, yuo're gonna want to click on servers then click on "Freenode" then join "Random Server"

You're gonna want to click on "Options" then under "Connect", click Servers, when you do that, scroll down IRC Servers until you find "Freenode", click on that and then click "Random Server" then hit ok

Once that connects, you can join the chat room they have listed

Once you choose Freenode and hit "Ok" you may have to click on the lightning bolt on the top left to actually connect to it
