help me to simplify this: ax+3bx+3by+ay/ax-ay-3by+3bx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x + y)/(x - y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take x common and y common ...then take (a + 3b ) common in numerator similarly you do in denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it will become like this:\[(x+y)(a+3b)/(x-y)(a+3b)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah u did it right ..good : )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now all u need is to cancel (a + 3b) thats all .. good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the denominator in the equation it is -3by which is different in the numerator.. am i going to do the same?
