I asked a question, but got no good answer. Another person chose an answer as a good answer and OS marked the question as solved! It has to be up to the questioner to close a question!
Can you post a link to the question? An answer being good is left up to the community, but we want to guide it in a direction that makes sense. If people are misusing the good answer button, we want to know about it. Thanks!
Here's the link: http://openstudy.com/users/parsa#/users/parsa/updates/4e265f040b8b3d38d3b807bb There is no misusing happened there. Maybe You should define 2 types of questions and ask the questioner whether (S)He just wants to get an answer or wants to be convinced. If it's the first case, then it'll be up to the community to choose the good answer; but if it's the second, it should be up to the questioner to say whether (S)He is convinced or not.
Hmm. Your question was really much more of a discussion question. I don't think you can really say it will ever have a `good answer'. We are indeed not quite as well equipped to handle those. We'll talk about what we can do to make things easier for broader discussion questions like that one. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
