how do i figure this out... i don't want the answer, i just want the formula please.... the ratio of men to women is 3 to 4. There are 204 men - question is how many people total?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

204/4 then multiply that by 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Set up a proportion. 204 men / x women = 3 men / 4 women. Solve for x. Then add x + 204 to get the total people.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

204/3*4
