A right triangle in the first quadrant is bounded by lines y = 0, y = x, and y = -x+5. Find its area.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve equations y=x and y=-x+5 at first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u will get (5/2,5/2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the vertices of triangle are (0,0),(5/2,5/2) and (5,0) I hope u can do it from now on
