A biologist has two brine solutions, one containing 15% salt and another containing 20% salt. How many milliliters of each solution should she mix to obtain 1 L of a solution that contains 19.5S% salt? ______mL, and ________mL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

suppose she needs to mix x millileters of 15% salt solution and y millileters of 20% salt solution to obtain 1 liter of 19.5% salt solution that means that x+y = 1000 and 0.15x+0.20y=195

so it would be 1000mL and 195mL?
