Use an inequality to solve the problem... One side of triangle is 4 cm shorter than the base, x. The other side is 6cm longer than the base. What lengths of the base will allow the perimeter of the triangle to be at least 29cm?

base be x then other side is x -4 ...and the third side becomes x +6 as you said at least x -4 + x +6 +x < 28 3x < 26 x < 26/3
