The ratio of the areas of two similar triangles is 36 : 25. What is the ratio of the perimeters of the two triangles?

This is just a guess, if an area is a square measurement and a perimeter is a linear measurement, the ratio of the linear measurement would be the sqrt of the ratio of the area measurement, so 6:5. I know it works for squares and the triangles I tried, but is it true for all triangles??
