accelaration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In physics, acceleration is described as the rate of change of velocity over time. Since velocity is a vector quantity, acceleration can result from either a change in magnitude or a change in direction or a change in both the magnitude and the direction of velocity. In SI units, acceleration is measured in meters per second squared (m/s²).
