Write the equation of the line that passes through (1, 3) and (4, 4) in standard form. x – 3y = –8 , x – 3y = –9 , 3x + y = 9 , 3x – 3y = –8 , can somebody just tell me the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 1/3x + 8/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, sorry, it's first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x – 3y = –8 because if you feed the respective values of the coordinates given they both give true answers
