Well I went to a college that just turned 100 years old. So if that is what your question is aiming for then yeah, about a hundred. But rock formations occur and are formed over thousands, millions of years. Even trees can take hundreds of years to fully grow and develop.

Beneath London there are large concentrations of Paleozoic hard rocks and Silurian sandstone. There is also a lot of chalk forming the London basin which dates back to pre-Cretaceous. I just moved from the Isle of Wight which is part of the Jurassic Coast and much of the south-west of the Island contains fossils from the Paleocene. Many Iguanadon fossils have been found in the cliffs at Sandown on the Island.
