Well the Area of COMPLETE CIRCLE = pi x radius^2 ; so in this case A of COMPLETE CIRCLE is pi x 1^2 = pi or 3.14. Now, you know that a circle is composed of 360 degrees, and 90 degrees is 1/4 of 360. So if you divide the Area of the COMPLETE CIRCLE by 4, you should get the area of the sector. Which will be pi/4 or .785398163. Hope this helps, I'm assuming this is some introduction to Trig. Enjoy :D
