plz help saifoo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How can they leave from the same spot and start 680 miles apart?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk.....tht's wat it said in the textbook

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

)there is a mistake . It should say they ended 680 miles apart, since they started from the same point. Let r= Ed.'s Rate Then r+10= Emils Rate Now Rate *time=Distance Their times are 4 and 7 and the total distance is 680 So (r)(4)+(r+10)(7)= 680 Now solve the equation, r= 55 mph

I think it should say they started at the same time...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, what I really think is u should get a better textbook.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

haha.
