Eduard traveled for 4 hours eastbound. Emil, who went 10 mph faster, left from the same spot, westbound, and traveled 7 hours. They started 680 miles apart. How fast did Eduard travel? Round to the nearest mile per hour if necessary. 61 mph 62 mph 55 mph 65 mph
plz help saifoo
How can they leave from the same spot and start 680 miles apart?
idk.....tht's wat it said in the textbook
)there is a mistake . It should say they ended 680 miles apart, since they started from the same point. Let r= Ed.'s Rate Then r+10= Emils Rate Now Rate *time=Distance Their times are 4 and 7 and the total distance is 680 So (r)(4)+(r+10)(7)= 680 Now solve the equation, r= 55 mph
I think it should say they started at the same time...
Actually, what I really think is u should get a better textbook.
haha.
