is ????????? the guy died long back !!!!! Vasco da Gama, 1st Count of Vidigueira (c. 1460 or 1469 – 24 December 1524) was a Portuguese explorer, and the first one to find the direct route from Europe to India. For a while he was the Governor of Portuguese India, with the title of Viceroy.

Vasco da Gama led an expedition at the end of the 15th century and found the sea route to India by way of the Cape of Good Hope, located at the southern tip of Africa. He crossed the Indian Ocean in 23 days, aided by the Indian pilot Ibn Majid, and reached Calicut on May 20, 1498.
