I am trying to solve a graphing problem. The original equation is 7.1x-3.9y=1.4 when I solve to isolate one variable, I end up with a fraction that contains decimals. Is this possible and how do you graph that?

This is the equation of a line. You can rearrange it in the form \[y = mx + b\] This is the easiest form to graph from. You can multiply the whole equation by 10 to get rid of the decimals if you like. But, the decimals or fractions are not a big deal if you have enough granularity in your graph.
