What are the coordinates of vertex D of rectangle ABCD for A(1,7), B(3,2), C(8,4)? Is there a quick way to solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get graph paper and plot the 3 points given and where ever point a and point d would connect and point c and point d would connect to form a straight line would be the answer i would try (6,9) and see what that gets you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

draw all the three points on the graph sheet and then from C take a protractor and take 90 degrees and draw a 5.5cm line from C which will give u D i.e. (6,9). hope u hve understood properly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should be ( 6,9) ... done by applying the difference between the A(x) and B(X) to C(x) i.e. 1-3=-2 , 8-2= 6... and the same to the y coord, but this time add the difference because your point is obviously above A... no graph needed
