There are a good number of action words here such as desperate and immediately. Personally I would write about someone going to their first job interview after college. Focus on the feelings of the main characters. He (or she) can be desperate, feel stressed (What's the temperature in here? I feel hot.) Weight of his future on his shoulders. That kind of thing. Plus, it's something that most people can relate to, so you'll have a good chance of grabbing your audience right away, which you will need for just a paragraph story.
