x-9)^2=49

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

x = 7 + 9 x = 16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you do it?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Join me! :)

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

u htere?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

there*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cant get it to type?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I am there

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im watching!

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

O, alright/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that was easy lol I recongize that to but I was thinking that I had to use the power but I knew about the sqrt of 49 great

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

hmm, :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I was thinking x^2-81=7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now the next problem that I have is tricky to me...

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

x^2 = 7 + 81 x^2 = 88 x = root 88 x = 9.38

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a possiblity but I can see your outcome beter... better*

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Sorry, didnt get that statemnt. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lenght is twice the width find both the lenght and width of 512 yds

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

is it a rectangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes correct!

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Let width be x & Let length be 2x therefore: x + x + 2x + 2x = 512 6x = 512 x = 85.33

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Now, Length = 2x = 2(85.33) =170.66 Width = x = 85.66

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I got it I knew that they were going to watn me to round it to a perfect 512 I got it!

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

O, ok. cool.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats with the girl pic? lol thats hot haha next prob?? r u ready

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

She is this http://static.poponthepop.com/images/gallery/megan-fox-looks-mean.jpg Lol, yea im ready!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

last week i did someone's online test, passed with 88%! Scored a A. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice job!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

too bad you dont have screen flip

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

thnks! :)

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

whts Screen Flip?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-9)^2=49 (x-9)^2=7^2 squareroot on the both sides x-9=7 x=9+7=16

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

oye nicK! hello. tm kidhr say aayay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I havent tried it yet but that one guy was talking about it on his site

OpenStudy (anonymous):

main ghar se aaya hoon:D

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Nick, a video for u: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqZ42LmDou4

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

umm, idk about that site.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x^2=10 solve find the x intercetps of 5x^2-10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

saif wtf is this why didnt u showed me earlier

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

1.4, -1.4

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

haha @nick

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x^2=10 solve find the x intercetps of 5x^2-10=0 y=ax^2 x intercept y= 0 5x^2=0

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

nick, here;s another one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4dxmlHGmLw&feature=lhpa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not watching now

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

y? :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im checking my answer on this one -x^2+4x+3 the vertex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is negative x^2+4x+3

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

-(x^2+4x+3) or -x^2+4x+3 ??

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

wht answer u got?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right but using the formula ax^2+bx+c and -b/2(a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then put the outcome in the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got -2,-1

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

checking..

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

whts the equation? -(x^2+4x+3) or -x^2+4x+3 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is we have to use the formula to find the vertex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the second one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-x^2+4x+3

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

y = 7 x = 2 these are the vertex.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?? find the vertex, the line of semetry minum or maximum ??

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

vertex is the turning point right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah that is right

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

hmm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh,,, nvm im an idiot did the wrong math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the points wold be 2,7

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

lol.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Yea!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that be a minumi or max

OpenStudy (anonymous):

max right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what kind of functions would be best used on a scatter plot linear, quadratic or neither

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

that will be quadratic. max & min depend upon the value of a. If a is +ve so there will be Min point. If a is -ve so there will be Max point.
