3x-9y=27 2x-6y=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which methods do you know? Elimination, substitution, RREF?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does it matter witch one you use i need to find the x and y values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The method used is based on the difficulty of your class. I'll presume that you know substation or elimination. In this case, Elimination is easiest. You need one of the leading coefficients to be the same. Look at the X.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would it be 1x- 3 y = 25 ?

hero (hero):

Solve for y, set the equations equal to each other, then solve for x: \[\frac {27-3x}{-9} = \frac{2-2x}{-6}\]

hero (hero):

Cross Multiply: -6(27-3x) = -9(2-2x)

hero (hero):

-162 +18x = -18 + 18x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm im lost i have to find the x and y and then graph

hero (hero):

And here we can see that it is not solveable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah it has to be ill figure it out and get back to you
