Write an equation of a line that passes through the point (2, 4) and whose slope is ½. y – 2 = ½(x – 4) y – 2 = 4(x – ½) y – 4 = ½(x – 2) y – 4 = ½(x +2)

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

Use the equation (y-y1) = m (x - x1) You have your ordered pair (2,4) or in other words (x1,y1) You also have your "m" which is the slope (1/2) Plug it into the equation =)
