Which matrix represents the system of equations shown below? 3x+4y=24 3x-2y=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would I subtract 3x from 3x, or do i just leave it alone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are u searching the solution of the equation ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I'm trying to figure out what matrix represents the system of equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you just have to write the coefficient of the left part in a matrix 2x2, and the right part in a vector

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's 3 4: 24 but im not sure. 3 -2: 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah perfect. if you call the left one A and the right one B, you can solve your equation by doing Ax = B, with x = \[\left(\begin{matrix}x \\ y\end{matrix}\right)\]
