i am having problems with a p over q method. the problem is P(x)=x^3-6x^2+3x-10, but i cant find out which number goes into it when doing synthetic division to get it to a quadratic.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

List all of the factors, p, of the constant term, -10, and all of the terms q, of the leading coefficient, 1. All of the ratios p/q are possible zeros. Your q = 1, so all of your possible zeros are whole numbers. Don't forget to check the negatives. You only have four values to check.
