add and simplify: 5n/n+1 + 3n-2/n+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They have a common denominator, so add the numerators and use the same denominator.

mkuehn10 is right so the answer is just the numerators added divided by n+1 and then you can factor the numerator so that it becomes 2(4n-1) but im not sure if you have to go that far or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just need the numerator, which is 8n-2 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It needs to be (8n-2)/(n+1)
