OpenStudy (anonymous):
Use Newton's method to estimate the solutions of 6x^2+x-1+0. Start x0=-1 for the left hand solution and x0=1 for the right solution. Find x2 in each case. I keep getting stuck while doing x1. Your help is appreciated.
