Let g(x)=-ln(x-2), describe the parent function, and the shifts, reflections, and stretches. Give a point on the parent function and describe where it is on g(x).
parent is ln(x)
2log(2-x)-x(log(x-2)-1) is the parent function. to find the reflection you just set the drivitive = 0
relearning after years so thank you for the patience and the help all.
matrix, I dont think its asking for the derivitive or integral.
x has no coeffeicient, so it is not stretched horizontally. (x-2) means the function is shifted 2 units to the right the negation on the ln function reflects it vertically
you are helping a great deal thanks CJN
try x = 3 parent is y = ln(3) child is y = -ln(3 - 2) ill let you crunch the numbers
not understanding what you are pointing out. parent you have posted is for the function and the child is where it is on g(x) ?
