I am trying to find the oblique (slant) asymptote for the equation: (x^3+3x^2+4)/(x^2+2x+1) After I do the long division for the problem I get y=x+1 as my answer. However when I graph it on my calculator, the lines intersect. Am I doing something wrong here? Thank you for the help...
