\[\sum_{n=1}^{4}(3n-1)\]

I'm sorry for expressing my opinion on the subject of mathematics :/

Haha :)

This is simply a summation. It means you take (3n - 1) for all values of n from 1 to 4 and add them up. So... (3*1 - 1) + (3*2 - 1) + (3*3 - 1) + (3*4 - 1) 2 +5 +8 + 11 = 26 And was just kiddin about the name :P
