The stopping distance d of a car after the brakes are applied varies directly as the square of the speed r. If a car traveling 40mph can stop in 90ft how many feet will it take the same car to stop when it is traveling 30mph

d=kr^2 90=1600k k=.056 d=.056 x 900 = 50.6 feet. My best guess.

it was wrong but thank you for trying
