I have a question regarding the data sets for U.S. firms. I have been looking at the company Balchem (BCPC) and I don't understand how the annual change in non-cash working capital was calculated. The figures in the data sets differ substantially from my own calculations based on determining the non-cash working capital for each fiscal year and then subtracting the current year from the previous year. Could anyone explain why the big difference? If you compare BCPC's non-cash working capital in the comp files you will the fluctuation is much bigger than what is listed in the file.
