Can anyone tell me how to solve the following logarithm: 7 ^ log7 12?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you rewrite your question using the equation button below? | | | v

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[7^{\log _{7}12}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. one of the logarthmic properties is \[b^{\log_b x} = x\] apply that here and tell me what the answer is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I get 12, am I reading this wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12 is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks so much!!! I'm having difficulty with another question: \[\log _{3} (2x-1)^{3}\] Somehow I ended up with \[2^{2/3}\] but I have a feeling I'm wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are you supposed to do with the log? is it equal to something? how did you end up with 2^2/3 anyway? what is x?
