how do you simplify this expression: the square root of 75y^4w^3 please EXPLAIN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First off, when it's all multiplied together like that, u can do piece by piece. Consider 16, it is 4 by 4 and we say 4^2 (4 squared) is 16 and 4 is the square root of 16. So let's take the easiest bit, the y^4 is y^2 by y^2 so the square root of y^4 is y^2. I don't really know what u know already and what u need explained.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know NOTHING. so i was kinda hoping for step by step on the whole thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did u understand what I wrote above?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorta yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If u didn't understand it, it's going to take a long time to explain the other bits...
