I don't have one...do I have like pay and set up an account with skype? sorry for being so tech iliterate....and I don't have a webcam or mic..but my brother said you could text chat on skype?

yeah, you can text chat, and no, you don't have to pay, but you do have to download the client. go to skype.com download the program, then run it and it should go through the set up for a skype account.
