When she starts off, she puts in 2 out of 10 shots. After that, she began to put in all of her shots. After how many shots will she have 90% average

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After 72 shots.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

80 shots total, she'll have 72/80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there ez way to find out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide the number of baskets she makes by the number of shots she takes and see if you get 0.9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve the following for x\[\frac{2+x}{10+x}\text{= }0.9 \]\[x=70 \]The total shots thrown is 80 to reach the 90% average or 70 shots after the first 10 shots.

Yes, x is 70, but I think the question is asking for the _total number_ of shots. It is a little ambiguous though.
