Which of the following is the best description of the solution of a - 4 > 1 and a + 2 < 1? all real numbers a > 5 and a < -1 -1 < a < 5 no solution

a - 4 > 1 a > 1+4 a > 5 ---------------- a+2 < 1 a < 1-2 a < -1 So a > 5 AND a < -1. But this isn't possible as no number fits this description (ie there is no number less than -1 AND greater than 5) So there are no solutions.
