sounds like u have been helped with this before i'll show u how to do these for last time: compare your equation to general form: ax^2 + bx + c = 0 here a = 4,b=-2,c=4 now plug these into the discriminant which is b^2 - 4ac if this is positive . the roots are real if negative there are no real roots if zero there are two roots with same value
