I need a perfect answer for this and fast answer. URGENT! Mix W- 3 cups of concentrate and 4 cups of cold water Mix X- 3 cups of concentrate and 5 cups of cold water Mix Y- 6 cups of concentrate and 9 cups of water Mix Z- 5 cups of concentrate and 8 cups of water. Ques: 1. If you made a single batch of mix W, what fraction of the batch would be concentrate? Answer the same question for mixes X Y and Z.
(w-3)/(w+1) (x-3)/(x+2) (y-6)/(y+3) (z-5)/(z+3)
I didn't get it :S Could you explain clearly?
See, if you take the case of w, we have w-3 cups of concentrate. Now we add 4 cups of water, so the total number of cups becomes w-3+4 = w+1. Now the fraction of the concentrate is the number of cups of concentrate by the total number of cups of the batch, hence (w-3)/(w+1)
OHHH! Thanks! :)
