Does anyone know what 5,100 is in scientific notation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5.1e3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5.1x10^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[5.1 \times 10^3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The easy approach is count the number of decimal places you need to move from the right to the left. In this case it's 3 so it becomes 5.1e3 or \[5.1*10^{3}\]
