OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Imran see if this program works the same way as my professor wants it to. I will attach both his and my problems as well as the assignment.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Here's the assignment

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Here's my version of the program (note only part 1 works so far) so if you select choice two or three in the beginning it wont work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Next TurboTax?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Here's the professors version.. and again i only got up to: single 171850-373650

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

LOLOL!! maybe =) I am actually enjoying this, and no the whole thing was my original work.. woops forgot to attach prof's version.. hold on

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

play around, try plugging in a couple of numbers.. I am finishing up the "Single" column on the assignment..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's the limit for taxable income?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

i dunno this is just a random assignment..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can't put $1 million

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

as long as whatever u enter in my program has the results that show up in professor's version im good.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

limit so far is 373650

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have to program each of the choices separately

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

well I don't know but it has to work just like professors. I'm using switches for the single/joint/separate and using if/else statements for the numbers allowed.. u know

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

hold on im attaching the complete version for single only..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now, I only program in Mathematica and Python

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

okay here, now you can enter a million.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Nooo first you need to enter 1 or 2 or 3. That's for the filing status. Then it will asks you for the actual amount of money.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

It says, enter your filing status: 1 for single 2 for married joint 3 for married separate Single is the only one complete so far

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, I need to learn to read

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that Works

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

okay play around with some numbers, by putting them both into my and prof's versions. Just to make sure the results are the same and my stuff so far is right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I tried couple and it checks out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many lines of code did it take?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

hmm.. 92 so far.. but that's with the switches for parts 2 and 3 too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you tired of programming now?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Not really.. im actually getting into it.. We're going thru the material a bit fast though, too much homework

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are you learning now

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

we just did switches and loops today..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

while, for, do while
