What level of understanding are you wanting them to be?
preliminary sound basic understanding for solving problems in biochemical processes
cant help you there im afraid, as im not a chemist. I do hear though taht Physical Chemistry is a good undergraduate text that explains the thermodynamics of chemical reactions rather well.
its by Peter Atkins. i forgot to mention that
Cengel – Thermodynamics has a Engineering point of view, but the fundamental concepts are the same, and is one of the best technical books I have ever read.
