how to find the value of exponential values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i use a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

post some question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just how to find via simple calculation without any machines? ex to find e^2=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no chance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you cannot do this without a calculator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the "exact" answer is \[e^2\] and e is irrational so it has an infinite non-repeating non-terminating decimal expansion. you do not have an infinite amount of time to square it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but e^x= some wat a long series...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[e^x=\sum_{k=0}^{\infty}\frac{x^k}{k!}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so \[e^2=\sum_{k=0}^{\infty}\frac{2^k}{k!}\] good luck computing this!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need a calculator if you want a decimal. that is for sure
