Hello... I just joined... Can anyone tell me the basic difference between Computer Science and Computer Engineering Undergraduate Courses??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Computer Science mainly focuses on software design and implementation. Computer Engineering mainly focuses on computer hardware design and implementation.

Hey Akshay I suppose u r from India too..and according to my knowledge most courses here are computer science and engineering for b.tech... at least the one i am gonna take has that name...if u r doing bsc. in computer science that is another thing..but i still feel the topics they cover r quite the same for both courses . It is just that u get more practical classes in engineering and 1 extra year and they cover optional topics like AI and web development too

@sunu yes i am from india but i am moving to canada... so the degree there is completely different.. still thanks for ur help....

Basically in a Computer Science course you build to learn, in a Computer Engineering Course you learn to build.
