Find the slope of the line whose equation is 9x + 5y = 1. i got 1/5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-9/5 is what I get

OpenStudy (radar):

5y=-9x+1 y=-(9/5)x+1 That doesn't look like 1/5 for one it is a negative slope and it is larger than 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

radar, it is y = -(9/5)x + 1/5, not what you wrote.

OpenStudy (radar):

yes , i didn't follow thru with dividing the 5 for y intercept 1/5 is correct, sorry .

OpenStudy (radar):

Still got the slope right and that was what was asked! lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, thats right :)

OpenStudy (radar):

time to log out lol
