Any Help would be appreciated. thanks! In a never-to-be- published study, it has been shown that the amount of cement dust deposited at a given place in a given time is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from that point to the cement factory. Two towns, Weston and Easton, each with a cement factory, are being sued by the owners of a baseball field near the towns. The owners want the towns to pay for cleaning up the cement dust that is continually being deposited on their field. Each town of course claims that it is all the other one’s fault but eventually, an agreement is

reached that each town shall pay in proportion to the amount of dust its factory deposits. What percentage is paid by Weston and what by Easton? You are given that Weston is 20 miles due west of Easton; that the bearing of the baseball field from Weston is N 62° E and from Easton is N 32° E. Realize also that the rate of deposit of dust at a point, d, away from a factory is k(1/d^2), where k is a constant (because it is inversely proportional to the square of the distance). You are given that k=1220 if d is in miles.
