When CCP first released the Trinity expansion pack to their game 'EVE online', one of the files the game contained happened to be named 'boot.ini' (guess it's used to boot the game) unfortunately, the windows operating system also has a critical system file also named 'boot.ini' file in the OS drive used to boot the computer. The game installer would overwrite the OS boot.ini and then brick your computer if you shut it down. CCP has learned their lesson.
