how would you convert w=(6)r+(6pi/8)θ into rectangular coordinates? I got w=6 root(x^2+y^2)+6pi/8((tan^-1(y/x)). would that be correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[r=\sqrt{x^2+y^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you saying it be root (36+6pi/8) ? im confused. i thought you had to plug in the values for r and θ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you answer is right, I am trying to see whether It can be simplified

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't see anyway to further simplify this, so you are good

awesome!
