If 1/2x +1/2(1/2x + 1/2(1/2x +1/2(1/2x + ... = y,
then x = ?

or \[\frac{1}{2x}\]
I have a solution for both, just want to see which one was intended.

i think the first time i had seen this idea was on a problem like:
\[x^{x^{x^{x}\ldots}} = 2\]
it uses the same concept.
